What if we put the Gravity Gun code back into the game (As a custom weapon for example)? Will that not be enough to get it to work?

I played the HL2 mod "Mission Improbable" lately.. In some areas I only got ~30 frames per second. My question is: Since you have used Source Engine till it's limits, will I get low FPS in Black Mesa? I have Windows 7, i5 CPU 750 @ 2,66 GHz dualcore, 4 GB RAM and one Radeon HD 5850.. I want to play Black Mesa on MAX SETTINGS with like ~300 FPS in ALL AREAS. Will I need an Nvidea GTX 680 ?

During development of BM, was it ever considered for the Gluon gun to have its secondary function as a sort of focusing handle? Apparently the original Gluon gun's secondary was to let you switch between wide angle and narrow beam, it sounds really neat.
