One janitor body. If they made a body, they could have infinite janitors. Maybe with different suit color/ grime variations too. It would actually be a lot for a little all things considered. I mean of course it's too much now, but had the idea come up a few years ago I think it would make perfect sense.

The idea has been brought up years ago & if I remember properly was considered at one point. (oh god I've been coming to this forum for too long)

I'm pretty sure that a few years ago a dev said that there are models of janitor or engineers but only as corpses as well as office workers, just to place them dead in a corner so everyone sees that Black Mesa does have other staff members besides scientists and security guards.

How about being able to hold the severed head of a scientist up to a retinal scanner to activate it?

Sandstorms. Are there any in the desert areas? Is it an immersion booster or would it just not fit in? Just brainstorming.

I live in New Mexico, so I'm afraid I have to inform you there are no sandstorms, at least in this area.

I'm not going to go back through the thread to see if this has been suggested, but perhaps bullet holes in areas where the are Hgrunts, or where it is implied there have been, since they've been shooting the whole of the staff, plus it could be a small warning to someone who is extra observant

It's likely been suggested before, so apologies for lack of search in advance.

The aliens are teleporting in randomly, right?
Then why are they always teleporting into the right places and surroundings?

I would love to see an ichtyosaur teleport into the office complex and flop on the floor, or a headcrab popping in underwater and drowning, etc.

There are a few places in HL where aliens are teleporting in only to quickly die in a fall or collapsed catwalk, etc, so it's not that unjustified.

Teleporting upside-down or into the walls can also be fun in a few places.

Yeah, it has definitely been thought about by Valve as well as the Black Mesa developers but I guess they don't implement it because you couldn't go on ingame without having a laughing fit if you saw every fifth headcrab stuck in a wall, that would be too funny, haha.

Yeah, but what about the flopping fish?
One time should be enough - you hear something teleporting behind you, turn around guns blazing, and there is that big xenian shark flopping on the floor helplessly.

^ I like this idea, but the wtf factor is a little too high.
...
This coming from a guy who wanted to see some artwork of Gordon sneaking up on two zombies fighting over a can of cat food is more than a little hypocritical I know.

That would be a very tiny gib. And pretty useless if the scanner needs both eyes.

I also remember this being discussed in Freeman's Mind where Freeman says, "What if one of those things teleported inside ME? Oh jeez I dunno if I could take that."

At some point, Eli should make a comment about getting to his wife and daughter or something along those lines. I imagine that would be his biggest priority in a disaster.
