I always find the idea of the Gman 'plucking' a very young Alex from black mesa an interesting one. Did he just grab her? Did he kill ELi's wife to get to her? It's not like she'd just let him without a fight..or did he have other 'people' collect her.
Catching a security monitor showing Gman with a a young girl hand in hand walking somewhere would be pretty cool. It's not really a suggestion, just an interesting back story that seems shrouded in mystery, was Alex too young to remember? what was the fate of her mother etc.. |

I bet they were both about to be killed by the disaster, but Alyx was saved because she was useful to the G-Man.

I think it has very much to do with the fate of Alyx manipulated by G-Man, I imagine that he "plucks" her out of Black Mesa by changing certain events so she escapes with Eli, just as he did with the resonance cascade. He didn't cause it himself but rather made it happen.

As far as I know there is no such effect, but weapons and arms can be covered in blood and acid stains in close combat.

1) Not minor.
2) Stupid looking. Really fucking stupid. 3) Most of the female scientist models I've seen seem to be in the mid 40s age range. Those aren't legs I want to be bombarded with. |

Alright, you dont have to be hurtful about it.
Also, janitor models would be great (gus hamilton), its not minor but still great, the only thing i could think of as minor are vehicle gibs, for a car/truck/tank explosion. If thats not minor or has been done already, then i guess iam out of ideas and the team is doing a good job. |

Vehicles do have gibs, skirts would just detract from the curves (
That does make sense. I'm a lot more "knowledgeable" now that I've read the whole fricken wiki. |

I have posted 2 times in the thread ''The Glock 17 for HECU Marines'' and my posts got deleted everytime after very short time, which is strange..
my proposal was following: ''They could add at least 2 or 3 soldiers throughout the game, which use pistols only. This would add diversity, realism and a sense of detail to the game. These soldiers could have run out of ammo, their weapons jammed, they were unprepared or whatever... I guess that pistol-using animations for soldiers were already done, so it should be no problem to implement this.'' @whoever who deleted my postings, please tell my what was wrong with it. i think it sounds like a good and decent idea. |

Because of this i proposed to add only at least a few of them. For me, Half Life is not only about fighting, but also about atmosphere, immersion and details.. and this is such a detail, which will make the game experience richer..
I would like to see at least a few soldiers with pistols.. in desperate situations or so for example.. |

They gave the HECU unlimited ammo, IIRC, because it would be all too easy to run them out of MP5 ammo, and get them to switch to the pistol.

Also, if I remember correctly, the devs scratched the idea of soldiers using pistols because the were unhappy with the standart teacupping animation which were also used by the Civil Protection, and since they planned not to include it anyway they just took it out.
