If I remember correctly if you whacked enough scientists (Or maybe you had to do it in front of another one) they would cease to help you and instead cower in fear. Would something like that be implemented? I sure would hate for there to be repercussions for 'helping' contain the situation.

A mod isn't like a job, a constant amount of work isn't done by everyone in a week. Working on a mod is essentially a hobby which you work on your spare time. So in short, it's extremely variable.
