I know this is old, sorry to drag it up again. The bullsquid: yes, screenshots don't do it justice and there are gameplay reasons for the change, etc... but the bullsquid was iconic, illogical or not. Why wouldn't swapping the model work? Would it crash the game or just cause AI problems?

The Bone rig between Models are Different.
Plenty of 'Iconic' Things about Half-Life Have been altered in this Modification, Deal. And no, From what I've gathered, the Old Model itself is completely gone. |

You know, there's all this butthurt about the Bullsquid eyes but I never really paid attention to how different it was (I didn't really care), and I can't find a comparion anywhere. The wiki has plenty of pics of the bullsquid, but they all seem to be the same generation, as far as the eyes are concerned. Is there a comparison, or at least old and new shots somewhere? Preferably from roughly the same angle.

you still need to use sv_cheats 1 for it, that's the problem. also then you have to bind it somewhere. im too lazy to do that lol

Does the HECU use flares? If so, are the enemies still perpetually soaked in gasoline like in Episode 1? If not, what's the best way to 'light em up?'

What happened to the BMS Steam Group? It used to be full of people, and I liked checking on it once in a while to see how many total hours the Devs had spent working on the mod, but now it seems everyone has disbanded. Just curious, that's all.

So since we past 1000 pages and it is 20'000th post of Got a question thread, I think it would be very fair to ask developers now, after 2 years and 3 months after OP:
When can we expect Black Mesa Source to be released? At least tell how many years we have to wait, or maybe we should fill this thread to 2000 pages? P.S. Also it is 20 days since Great Oz has spoken! |
