Will we still hear the screaming in On a Rail like you could in the original? If so, will it be a well done remake of it, or is it going to be the same exact sound as it was in Half-Life?

Although this guy caused too much noise to actually hear it and he missed it for that reason.

EDIT: The room after 0:50, he runs straight into the bullsquid and shoots, that's when he misses the sound.

Yep, just had to go check it out myself - nothing else in the game quite makes that sound.
Also, Freeman's Mind Ep25 makes reference to it...

EDIT: I should point out for FM fans that haven't seen this one yet that the link starts at 7m25s

It is. Valve usually reuses generic sounds- many button sounds in Half-life 2 were from HL, as were some door sounds, alarms, ect.
It saves having to record new ones.

Fix'd.

I think we've gotten past the point of "early" this year. Either way I'm not complaining

This was mentioned in the wiki thread, but do the devs plan on keeping a lock on media from Xen to appear on their website / wiki after release? Not that they could do much about it anyhow.

How do the behaviors of the soldiers work? In awareness terms I mean. Is it a case of line of sight up to a certain distance and sounds further, or more a case of within a certain radius they are aware of you? Do they rank your danger level based on what weapon you have equiped at a certain time? Does their "braveness" level differ based on the number of compatriots they have in a certain radius?
