Actually, yes.

Not sure why PingWing asked a question and provided the answer though.

I don't like the zoom feature. It makes the crossbow redundant. No seriously: It does.

Who knows, but it was in the original HL and the Devs decided to include it in BM.

Oh, I'd completely forgotten about that.

Erm, carry on...

I've played through HL quite a few times and it never struck me to try the secondary fire on the magnum.

I feel ... like an idiot, really...

What kind of (third-party) programs are you using (besides the Source SDK itself) for the mod development?

Um, I'm pretty sure the magnum does not zoom in single player, that function was only put in HL multi player.

Basicly. It didn't zoom at all in singlepayer.

So the magnum has a zoom? That's the first change I don't like. It was only in multiplayer before.

You can just not use the secondary function, so I don't see the problem.

Well, you don't have to use the zoom.
Makes it more similar to the crossbow, but the shots hit instantly and it doesn't fire under water.

Will there be mutilated / half eaten / dismembered bodies laying around after the RC? It would seem especially necessary if it's a body where you can clearly see that aliens are eating it. Or absorbing their life-forces. or whatever.

Yes. I just searched for a picture that I know exists of an area in Office Complex of a dead scientist lying in a pool of blood, clearly a prop added for post-RC atmosphere, but couldn't find it. They will be there, though.

No, because that's just a dead NPC, not a mangled corpse prop.
