i was referring originally to the access denied guy, and since the dev said that it was now a female voice, the question was if she was the same person doing the tram voice in the beginning

Aww, I missed the emotionless tone of the Black Mesa Automated Announcement System. Ah well, it might tie in better with the Overwatch announcer in HL2 now.

I liked VOX's cold monotone announcements echoing incoherently through the facility.

I will miss it greatly.

You know, it was a computerized voice. You can make your own fairly easily.

I do think it's interesting that you would just assume it is a lie. Does that reflect badly on you or the devs?

I'm not automatically assuming it's a lie, or even necessarily untrue at all. I'm saying his answer was completely independent to what they're really working on.

Oh god I hope this is not true. For me a major part of the original Half-Life was the robotic emotionlessness of the male voice coming out of the announcement system. A female voice would take away the harshness of it.. I would be very disappoint.

Technically you asked a single question, yet referred to two different folks. One that is female and before the cascade, and there is also an after cascade overhead announcement that is a male voice announcing the complex is now under military control. I am doing what you quoted. Cris "Valo118" Mertens did the after cascade.

Hope that clears it up.

Oh thank god. Not that I hate your voice or anything Catz, on the contrary I love the tram announcer voice you do, just I loved the original male VOX voice.

Oh that's good. A cold, monotone, emotionless male voice invokes the atmosphere of Black Mesa (being an old industrial military complex) better than a female voice would have.
