They haven't. We've got a small number of LCDs in the higher-tech areas of the facility (Questionable Ethics and Lambda Core), but most of the monitors around the base are chunky old LCDs.

Nope. Half-Life 2's one doesn't break, and that's no fun at all.

Yes and yes.

None of our gunshot sounds are supposed to be accurate recreations of real-world weapons. They're meant to sound satisfying and complement the soundscape.

I'm interested in this as well, and if yes would they use the Ep2 skeleton's model?

I'm pretty sure that using Episode 2's skeleton model in a free sourcemod wouldn't be legal, since it's not included in the Source SDK.

Since the SDK is going free, does that mean one does not need to own a orange box game to play BMS? or are there still shared assets needed from the Source 2007 files?

Yeah, looks like you'll be able to play it without owning the orange box.

i dunno, here it states:

While the Source Engine SDK will soon be free, it looks like amateur game developers will still require that a Source Engine game be installed before playing any mods created via the Source Engine SDK, even if Team Fortress 2 and another free game, Alien Swarm, are free.

That's weird. Unless the free version will be heavily modified and won't include all the files. Time will tell I guess.

According to this they're using the HL2 Vort Slave model in BM so I see no reason they wouldn't have used Hl2Ep2 Models

The Vort model is in the base SDK, so it's fair game for modders to use. The skeleton isn't, unless you're modding Episode 2 exclusively and not any other source game.

Ah I was unaware, I know very little about base sdk. In that case you're more than likely correct in that they won't be using the Ep2 Model.

Unnecessary post about unnecessary is unnecessary. However, unnecessary post about unnecessariness of unnecessary post about unnecessary post is necessary.

You say you're not using the EP2 mode, that doesn't mean you're not using your own.

Improved materials + shackles.

If they can't use Valve's skeleton ragdoll, couldn't the devs just use a skeleton model from some free 3d model library off the net?
