off topic: I think Gordon would have gotten really wasted if he cashed in on all those beers owed to him by random security guards in the original HL. Maybe he won a lot of bets? |

I can't figure out the Source Shader Editor for the life of me, could someone tell me if you can give something a negative refractive index?

Question for you guys (probably been asked already, so sorry.)
When you launch the new website and hopefully forums. Will we have to sign up to the forums as a fresh user? I sure hope so considering this current forum is 96% trolls. Many thanks. |

If the forums are 96% trolls and they're active, chances are they'd just sign up again, anyway.

According to Michael Tannock (a BM team member), a "big surprise" was to have been recently announced or released. Sheesh... another missed deadline? |

Yeah, yeah, I know the drill. Stop trolling and keep the faith. I just hope the release of the "big announcement" is weeks away and not months!!!

If something is going to occur then we will make an official statement on the website or forums....not youtube nor moddb.

I love it when your associates go rogue and divulge info concerning the mod, especially since your last official statement was... errr... ummm... oh yes, December 2009, but I suppose stating that the mod will be available two weeks after the release of the new music soundtrack counts as somewhat of an official statement.

I don't suppose in the interest of continuity for people playing through BM->HL2->etc. that it'd be possible to replace the very low detail test chamber in the beginning of HL2 with the new one from BM, would it?

That's been asked before -- very long time ago.
It can probably be done, but it's a lot of trouble for just that 3 second clip... |

I wonder if they added more to that scene, like the visual of a SPAS-12 stock slamming you in the face or something..?

It's clunky and hamfisted, it would just serve to act as an obnoxious NUDGE NUDGE WINK WINK moment. Half-Life managed to get its story across fairly transparently, there's no need to shoehorn this stuff in just to be doing it.And we've said so. What are you getting at?

And while I totally agree that you shouldn't add more than you have, didn't Marc Laidlaw claim that some scientist from the original Half Life could be served as Magnussen in the developer commentary of Episode 2? I think it was in the rocket chamber..? Anyone remember that? Last edited by OrderOfDagon; 26-02-12 at 00:15.. |
