Record human and alien sound effects
This project should warm your vocal cords and test your recording setups. We're after growls, howls, screams and grunts - noises you might hear while fighting and killing both human and alien NPCs in Black Mesa. Be creative!

Might be a nice nod to include the Wilhelm scream at some (probably scripted) moment?

I don't know if it was ever even considered, but i'm reposting my old sound. It was cockroach-related, ironically enough.

Hahaha, thanks to Google, I was able to retrieve the link to my female scientist screams from a cached version of the BMS forum. The sound files are here. I don't even know if they are worth it, but still.

Thanks so much for retrieving those and saving a lot of people (including me) the time having to reupload them.
Nice, I really like the tentacle and zombie sounds - spot on. With the vorts you should try and make their voices sound deeper and more gurgled if you know what i mean. Slow down the headcrab sounds, they sound like someone's fast fowarding a tape player. The bullsquid dieing sounds should be more high pitched IMO but they sound fine as they are i guess. Good job on the humans with the coughs and splutters part, but the screams were very lolworthy. Last edited by Dangar^; 03-05-09 at 08:24.. |
