C&C Generals 2 F2P

#21

That’s right. No story. No singleplayer. They scrapped all of that in favor of a multiplayer-only F2P game that is only marginally related to Generals.

They are idiots.

WHY EA! WHY DO YOU KEEP KILLING GOOD FRANCHISES! GENERALS WAS ALL THAT WE HAD LEFT IN GOOD MODERN C&C GAMES!!!

#23

Where do i sign?

#27

I signed.

#28

This has been attempted before. EA never listens. It’s a valiant effort but it will fail anyway.

#29

Fuck this.

I signed the petition as John Belushi… I want to help out, but I don’t trust anyone that collects my name and address… :frowning:

God damn I miss westwood.

Oh well, it’s not like I’ve cared about a C&C game since before generals.

F2P AAAAAANNNNDDDD No Single Player?

Worst Idea Ever…

How dissapointing

#33

Just read at RPS that maybe, maybe there will be single player after all and ea listens to fans sometimes after all. On my phone right now, so I’ll post link later.

I’ve been calling for EAs tar-and-feathering for years now. It seems like with each game they produce, they’re hammering putting another nail into their coffin. However, I will say that not all F2P games are inherently bad. TF2 did it well (generally). Tribes: Ascend is a good example. What both these games have in common is no only are they F2P, but all the content that you can compete with can be unlocked through time and effort, and most importantly, for free. But it is recommended, especially in Tribes’ case, that you spend a few bucks to help in the areas you need it most. Besides, you’re playing this kickass game that the devs have slaved over for years. They deserve a little money for their hard work.
