Champions: Return to Arms (PCSX2)

Snowblind engine games (at least Champions of Norrath and Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance series) now work pretty well with GSDX hardware rendering modes in recent Git builds of PCSX2. Just make sure to use “scaled” resolutions (2x native, etc.) rather than custom resolutions.

Ran the Star Wars: Battlefront beta at 7680x4320 for a laugh (one frame per second )

Armored Warfare (open beta):

From level 2 - 4, small details of base structures change (fences, light posts, sandbags, etc.). At level 5 they get a new model.
I might have everything upgraded to level 5 before they release the rest of the base structures (Port, etc.).


Fallout 4:

Ran at 7680x4320 to see how it’d run. 5 FPS :stuck_out_tongue: (interesting compared to the SW: Battlefront Beta, which ran much more smoothly at 1920x1080 than Fallout 4 does - guess some effects scale differently).
Think some textures didn’t load in fully for this shot, oh well. Texture streaming is a bit sluggish even in normal gameplay (installed on SSD :meh: ).


Grim Dawn:

Looks, runs and plays better with each new update. Looking forward to the full release.

New cave flora looks nice.

A D20 + Card Against Humanity + Sackhead + Petrified Poop. A room with an infitinite number of pickups and, eventually, items, because I’m rolling gold chests that are dropping items.

Still holds up reasonably well. Shame the complex shadow options wreck performance due to compatibility problems with new hardware / drivers / OS.
(Simple shadows: 120 FPS (v-sync). All Complex shadows: <40 FPS in some areas. Even party-only complex shadows can result in drops below 60 FPS…)

Base fully upgraded, now to wait for more buildings…

Fallout 4 looks alright.

With this mod setup I’m getting 18-20 FPS in Lexington on my 980 Ti. :rolleyes:

Yep :smiley:
Performance improved a bit with the implementation of mipmapping as well. On most planets, I’ve been able to run R&C at full speed on 60Hz mode.
Ratchet & Clank and R&C2 are almost perfect in hardware rendering now. R&C3 looks fine for the most part, but bloom effects can be a bit iffy at resolutions above native.
Some games that benefit from mipmapping still suffer from other, separate texture cache issues (e.g. Jak 3).
